Description:
As a Telemetry Engineer for the Tesla Bot, you will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on fleet-wide performance metrics, uptime, and serviceability challenges. This role is crucial in developing and integrating processes, tools, and automation pipelines to efficiently monitor, maintain, and ensure optimal uptime and performance across robotic platforms. You'll play a key role in leading technical discussions on fleet health, analytics and best practices.An ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in large scale data analysis and experience with SQL and Python for data extraction and visualization. Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive improvements through fleet data will be vital to your success.

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed reviews of fleet performance, identifying common failure points and sources of downtime across the fleet
- Develop and execute cross-team strategies to resolve recurring issues and enhance fleet reliability and uptime
- Use SQL and Python scripting to extract, organize, and analyze data from various sources, providing actionable insights on robotic fleet performance, failure trends, and uptime metrics
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to create tools that enhance fleet analytics and reporting capabilities
- Design and maintain reporting systems (dashboards, graphs, presentations) that provide clear, actionable insights on robotic performance and operational trends
- Lead technical discussions on fleet performance with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math or proof of exceptional skills in related field
- Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy) and SQL (PostgreSQL), MATLAB, R
- Experience with Spark, Caspian, JavaScript, Grafana, and/or OpenSearch is a plus
- Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with high ambiguity; self-starter mentality
