JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Child and Family Manager, the Child & Family Supervisor provides overall leadership, management and oversight of the child and family unit.. The Child & Family Supervisor coordinates the delivery of services; assists in the preparation and administration of budgets, and the monitoring of contracted services; and collaborates with various local, regional, and state entities in the delivery of services in the program areas assigned. This position ensures implementation of federal, state and local agency policy to provide effective service to county residents in a fiscally responsible manner.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises and directs the daily activities, priorities, and work operations of unit personnel. This includes but is not limited to: Hiring, training, promoting or transferring staff, assigning work, performance management, and discipline.
Reviews and monitors program operations, client needs, fiscal and administrative requirements of the agency and program. Administers programs in a manner to best meet the needs of clients within the resources, policies, procedures and guidelines of the agency.
Provides oversight and direction ensuring staffing coverage and performance management for child protection reports and crises after hours (24 hours a day, 7 days a week) as required by Minnesota State statute.
Performs other duties of a comparable level of type.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Psychiatric Nursing or related area.
Requires a minimum of 3 years of professional social work, mental health or related experience.
or
Equivalent combination of education and experience necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
and
Valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility.
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Graduate Social Worker, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Mental Health Professional
SCORED EXAMINATION PROCESS
