Position Summary
The Department of Biology and Program in Animal Behavior at Indiana University invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Physiological Mechanisms of ANIMAL BEHAVIOR at the level of Assistant Professor. We seek candidates with a conceptually driven research program to complement existing strengths in Biology's Evolution, Ecology, and Behavior (EEB) Program and the Center for the Integrative Study of Animal Behavior within the Program in Animal Behavior. We are particularly interested in applicants whose research employs biologically informed approaches and modern techniques to understand the physiological mechanisms of behavior. The specific behavioral focus and study system is open. Indiana University is widely recognized for its outstanding interdisciplinary programs in behavior, including the Center for the Integrative Study for Animal Behavior within the Program in Animal Behavior (animalbehavior.indiana.edu/) and a long-standing NIH Training Program in Common Themes in Reproductive Diversity (ctrd.indiana.edu/). Start date is flexible, from August 2025 to August 2026.

The Program in Animal Behavior promotes collaborative research and teaching among Indiana University scholars studying animal behavior in multiple departments and schools. Basic Qualifications
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and have postdoctoral experience in relevant fields, with a strong record of research accomplishments.
