Job Summary;

This position will be responsible for sales growth of Alltech Specialty Ingredients into the dairy industry within California. This position works with consulting nutritionist, dairy farms and feed manufacturers.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure long-term business partnerships.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
  • In-depth knowledge of animal nutrition to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly convey information internally and to potential clients.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's license
  • Travel by car on a daily basis.
  • Overnight travel is required on an occasional basis

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Investigating problems and developing solutions to address customer needs and improve their profitability and competitive advantage.
  • Maintain relationships and build new relationships for the company.
  • Managing sales in the territory, retaining existing accounts, and implementing sales strategies to develop new business.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues.
  • Practicing good customer service procedures, providing strong support after a sale to ensure complete customer satisfaction, and communicating effectively with customers.
  • Handling administration tasks such as reports, processing expenses, and managing company resources.
  • Actively participating in the feed industry through trade shows, seminars, understanding market trends, and being familiar with competitors

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Ag Science, Animal Science, Dairy Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in animal nutrition sales.
  • Background in the dairy industry.
