The Test & Burn-In Engineer is responsible for establishing high quality technology Burn-In capabilities, sustaining engineering of the Burn-In solutions and for making sound technical decisions that impact cost & cycle time improvements for the Burn-In test lab.

General Summary
The Test & Burn-In Engineer is responsible for establishing high quality technology Burn-In capabilities, sustaining engineering of the Burn-In solutions and for making sound technical decisions that impact cost & cycle time improvements for the Burn-In test lab.
Responsibilities
- Implements Burn-In technology per the company's timelines with cost and cycle time expectations.
- Works cross-functionally with Test Engineering.
- May work with customers to understand Burn-In needs.
- Works to implement technology roadmap.
- Supports Rochester Production.
- Works cross functionally across other Rochester departments.
- Works to stay in touch with worldwide Burn-In technology evolution as well as equipment / process technologies available.
- Provides training within BI Team as well as to other departments on Burn-In tools, techniques, capabilities and marketing of our capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical work experience in Test & Burn-In engineering.
- A minimum of 8 years of electrical test and/or Burn-In manufacturing experience.
- Skills:
- Test & Burn-In engineering techniques and equipment
- Engineering and statistical techniques
- Mentoring engineers
- Effective at evaluation of test and or Burn-In equipment, instruments, materials, and techniques
- Understanding of high quality and striving for continuous improvement
- Represents, supports and encourages the Rochester culture, as well as ensures their team follows work practices, specs and policies set forth by the company.
