Job description

Location: Twinsburg, OH
The Test Engineer will establish test procedures and coordinate testing of NPI, Qualifcation, and Safety of Flight programs. They will be responsible for testing aerospace electronic control units as well as rotating machines within the scope of Engineering that needs to be completed as well as the design and fabrication of associated setups. Additionally, the Test Engineer will be responsible for board level testing of subassemblies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinates and performs tests at the prototype and qualification phases of product development.
Gathers and studies information regarding materials and components to be used in production.
Tests new products; develops systems to gather digital data during testing.
Studies the data gathered during testing and evaluates the validity of the results.
Identifies any problems with qualification products; makes adjustments or recommendations to resolve problems.
Continues testing and analysis until results are within product requirements and specifications.
Drafts detailed technical reports to present testing results.
Able to assist with performing environmental, developmental and qualification tests on electrical generators and control units
Set up test equipment and fixtures to perform tests
Assist with the modification of test fixtures, control circuits and instrumentation
Assist in programming test computers to control tests and record test data
Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures
Work with product design engineers to develop test methods to assure that specification performance requirements are met.
Write clear and complete test procedures, instructions and test reports.
Work with facility manager in assessing and modifying facility infrastructure when installing new test equipment.
Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
Travel requirements: Occasional travel (general guideline: once per quarter) within U.S/Outside U.S.
Other duties may be assigned.
Evening/night hours may be required.
Extra hours may be required during business peaks.

Education and/or Experience
-A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required and
-A minimum of four (4) years' of related work experience.
-In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in Engineering or equivalent and
A minimum of five (6) years' related work experience

-Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner. Written skills, particularly in the area of technical writing, are preferred.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
-Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals
