In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in test laboratory standard operations, such as perform testing, preparation of test set-ups, test data sheets and test reports along with design of test fixtures and maintenance of the test laboratory in support of certification of aircraft passenger seat products. This position contributes to our vision by ensuring that all products are rigorously tested and certified, meeting the highest standards of quality and safety, and fostering a culture of precision, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Main Function Responsibilities:

A) Must be detailed oriented and have sound engineering judgment.
B) Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
C) Must be able to generate documents like plans, data sheets, and reports.
D) Must have design capabilities to aid test fixture design.
E) Must have the ability to create and analyze CAD drawings.
F) Must be willing to perform tests and some physical work at the test laboratory as needed.
G) Performs other duties as assigned.
Candidate skills & requirements

A. Education & Qualification:
Must have a B.S. in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.

B. Work Experience/Technical knowledge
One year of related experience preferred.
Familiarity with FAA regulations and airframe manufacturer's specifications preferred.
Experience in stress analysis, finite element analysis methods or MSC NASTRAN is a plus.

C. Professional Skills:
Must have the ability to create and analyze CAD drawings (CADAM, Pro/E).
Must also have a complete knowledge of finite analysis methods, FAR's related to certification of aircraft interiors, and airframe manufacturers specifications.
Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
Ability to read and review written communication.
Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

D. Behavioral Skills:
Must be detail oriented and have sound engineering judgment.
Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex test plans and test setups instructions.

E. Desirable Aspects:
Basic ProE/CATIA & AutoCAD skills are preferred.
