Test Engineer
Job Description:
- Test and troubleshoot RF devices and modules using automated test equipment and circuit design documentation.
- Support and teach test technicians how to perform various written test procedures.
- Build automated test systems to be used for MACOM products.
- Maintain automated testing software solutions used in manufacturing.
- Document and maintain test procedures as required.
- Support Manufacturing Test for a variety of products, discrete devices to modules.
- Facilitate new product transitions from engineering to manufacturing.
- Work closely with and provide feedback to design and manufacturing engineers.
- Perform calibration and test while troubleshooting product.
- Analyze test data and write formal reports on findings.
- Determine root-cause of test failures to ensure manufacturing or design issues are understood.
- Develop and implement enhancements as part of continuous improvement.
Technical Requirements:
- Understand RF and digital hardware architectures and design.
- Able to debug RF systems.
- Experience with VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers and RF/DC automation, semiconductor testing, and measurement techniques is highlydesirable.
- Be able to communicate engineering concepts clearly and concisely.
- Able to analyze parametric data and make sense of what it represents in the real world.
- Software development expertise including writing, editing, and debugging VB, C#, Python, etc.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship is required due to ITAR restrictions
- BS/MS in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 3+years of previous semiconductor test experience preferred
