THE WORK
As a production test engineering manager, you'll be responsible for leading a team of test engineers who design, develop, and implement testing methods and equipment across programs that support multiple lines of business at RMS. We develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems and integrate deliverable hardware and software during production testing in our Orlando facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of test engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure their success
Develop and implement test strategies, plans, and procedures to ensure the quality and reliability of our products
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks, optimize test processes, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
Manage projects and resources to meet program requirements

Our functional group, the Production Operations Test Engineers, is composed of 33 high performing professionals who support a portfolio of programs across RMS. We are the connection between each program's development engineers who integrate new capabilities into subsystems and the remainder of our Production Operations organization who create high quality products in repeatable processes. Basic Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of test engineering principles, methods, and tools
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
- Experience in test plan/procedure development and operations and test.
Desired skills
- Experience with production support, manpower planning, and proposal writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
