The Opportunity:
Factorial Energy is seeking a Test Engineer or Senior Test Engineer to join us in our Billerica and Methuenlocations. This person will be responsible for leading the internal testing efforts supporting our FEST electrolyte development. This includes validating the scale up of our solid-state chemistries as we take them from R&D scale to EV packs. The ideal candidate will have experience running/managing battery cycling testing, battery abuse testing, and be familiar with battery data analytics.

Factorial Energy is seeking a Test Engineer or Senior Test Engineer to join us in our Billerica and Methuenlocations. The ideal candidate will have experience running/managing battery cycling testing, battery abuse testing, and be familiar with battery data analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of experienced engineers to conceive/implement new testing techniques to evaluate the performance of novel cell chemistries.
- Take part in evaluation and interpretation of complex tests and experiments, failure analysis and diagnostics.
- Organize tests/DOE and testing equipment/cyclers for EV cell validation.
- Prepare and execute tests according to validation plan.
- Test protocol programming.
- Test laboratory daily management (testing parts (cables, alligator clips...), small devices ordering and management).
- Support external institutes for testing setup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in materials, chemical, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or related engineering background.
- At least 2 year's experiences in battery test labs.
- Experience in battery validation (OEM/major battery manufacturer preferred).
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated.
- Excellent technical communication skills.
