Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

Resource with 12+ years of experience in QA testing of Core Mainframe technologies.
Managed testing in medium sized transformation project.
Strong experience in Baseline testing on mainframes.
Experience in test case management.
Experience in functional/system/integration testing.
Expert in Cobol, Easytrieve, JCL, CICS & VSAM Files.
Experience with DFSORT, SYNCSORT, ICETOOL and other utilities.
Experience with BMC Control-M scheduling tool.
Good experience with Communication protocols like SFTP and Connect: Direct.
Experience with File-Aid, Abend-Aid, Expeditor
Very strong analytical skills.
Good communication skills to work with various teams (infra, Dev, business)

Roles and responsibility

Understand the functionality of existing system and thoroughly tests business logics to ensure proper functionality.
Contributes to the identification, management, and closure of system defects.
Documents all problems/ issues and work to resolve them.
Reports progress on problem resolution to clients.
Creates improvements for current procedures.
Collaborate with Business/other teams for UAT and Integration.
Plan and test the change in phases.
Lead the team to test the applications.

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills

Experience in modernizing the legacy mainframe applications to cloud native technologies.
Good to have Google cloud platform knowledge.
Understanding of Retail Domain.
Good to have Informatica, UNIX, SQL, and Database knowledge.
Exposure to Micro Focus Emulator
