We are seeking a Utility Operations Test Lead to manage end-to-end testing activities for applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables, compliance with industry standards, and smooth execution of test cycles. The ideal candidate should have strong Utility Operations domain expertise, experience in test planning and execution, defect management, and stakeholder coordination. Additionally, exposure to test automation, including Tosca, is preferred.

Roles & Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution:
Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases applications.
Ensure comprehensive functional, integration, regression, performance, and UAT testing.
Validate APIs, services, and map layers through manual and automated test cases.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent application performance.
Work closely with developers, business analysts, and teams to align testing activities with project requirements.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance:
Identify, document, and track defects using JIRA, HP ALM, or similar tools.
Perform root cause analysis and defect triaging, ensuring timely resolution.
Ensure compliance with QA best practices, testing standards, and utility industry regulations.
Provide test progress reports and key metrics to stakeholders.

Test Automation & Tosca Exposure:
Contribute to test automation initiatives where applicable, particularly in API testing and workflow validation.
Exposure to Tosca or other automation tools for improving test efficiency.
Support automation efforts for repetitive validation tasks, though manual testing remains the primary focus.

Stakeholder & Team Management:
Lead and mentor a testing team, ensuring effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Coordinate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and offshore units to execute test cycles smoothly.
Engage in client discussions, requirement analysis, and testing sign-offs to ensure business expectations are met.

Generic Managerial Skills, If any
Strong team leadership, test coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Excellent communication and reporting capabilities for test progress and risk mitigation.
Experience in test planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for large utility ops projects.
Ability to manage testing SLAs, KPIs, and defect resolution timelines.

Salary Range: $100,000-$140,000 a year
