Description:

Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Test Engineer II professional to join our Kennesaw Testing team in Kennesaw, GA. This position is expected to lead all aspects of data acquisition to ensure accuracy and reliability of our products. This includes working with performance engineers to ensure product performance requirements are accurately and efficiently acquired.

What you'll be doing:
  • Design and implement testing strategies and procedure with performance engineers.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate product functionality and performance, working to meet project goals deadlines.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve issues related to data acquisition hardware and software.
  • Provide technical support and training to supporting groups team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, software, and quality engineers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality across all systems.
  • Document test results, procedures, and findings thoroughly, ensuring all information is accurate, comprehensive and easily accessible.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancement in data acquisition technologies.

What you need to be successful:
  • Technical degree required. (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science)
  • 3-7 years of testing experience, preferably in the Marine industry.
  • Ability to work unsupervised on the handling of a variety of commercial matters.
  • Ability to advise technical and non-technical team members to commit to targets and meet deliverables.
  • Proven experience as a testing engineer or similar role, with a focus on data acquisition.
