Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Experience: 2 years required, 5 years preferred

License: State SLP license (in hand preferred, but pending acceptable)

Certifications: BLS (AHA only, no HeartCode)

Job Description:
- Serve in a hybrid inpatient/outpatient role focusing on oncology-based care for head and neck oncology, including tracheostomy and laryngectomy care.
- Work a moderate-paced schedule, fluctuating as needed, with modified barium swallow studies commonly performed.
- Conduct primarily cognitive, language, speech, and voice assessments and treatments.
- No on-call duties, no floating to other units, and no weekend work.
- Wear wine-colored scrubs (not provided).
- Complete approximately 80 hours of orientation with roughly 72 hours on the floor.
- Utilize EPIC for documentation.
- Opportunity open to first-time travelers.
- Answer the following questions during submission:
- How many unsupervised or outside-of-grad-school modified barium swallow studies have been completed per week or in total?
- How many total laryngectomy patients have been treated and when was the last treatment of a laryngectomy patient?
- Experience with head and neck patients immediately post-surgery, providing examples of surgeries encountered.
- Preferred skills include acute care, adult outpatient, cerebrovascular accident (CVA) management, laryngectomy, augmentative communication, and more.
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October-March), or a signed flu declination form.
