Job Description
Job Title: Speech and Language Pathologist
Job Specialty: Pediatrics
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00), Monday - Friday, no weekends
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a hospital setting with pediatrics
License: Speech and Language Pathologist license (pending state license not accepted)
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required
Must-Have:
- Accredited SLP credential program (includes master's degree)
- Experience in pediatric outpatient settings
- Proficiency in pediatric speech, including swallow, speech, cognitive, and voice therapy
Job Description:
- Provide direct patient care and organize medically prescribed speech therapy programs to restore function
- Work specifically with the pediatric population, addressing speech and language challenges
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintain detailed documentation and charting using Cerner
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules
- Adhere to business casual or scrubs with a white lab coat dress code
