About the Team
The global eCommerce US operation team aims to deliver high quality products together with a unique customer experience via TikTok. The role is responsible for building the TikTok Ecommerce partnership for the TikTok e-commerce business in the US. With more than 1 billion loyal users globally, we believe TikTok is an ideal platform to deliver a brand new and better e-commerce experience to our users. About the Role:
We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making TikTok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and partners. The TikTok Shop Electronics, Office and Books Category Team is looking for a retail champion to help us build our business and drive the growth of our category. We seek a dynamic Program Manager to join our Category (Electronics, office and Books) team. This role involves managing and enhancing relationships mostly with internal TikTok Shop project teams and also with external agencies, a thriving social eCommerce platform. The ideal candidate will understand social content platforms, e-commerce trends, and lead projects to drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Oversee strategic projects' progress to launch strategies for our industry to deliver business impacts on long-term GMV growth, profitability improvement, and platform efficiency
- Guide our Special Project to take ownership of project outcomes and to collaborate with cross-functional teams to define goals, pilot projects, and identify opportunities and further improvements
- Growth opportunity to act as an interim functional lead when business needs it, with a path to move to specific business function in US e-commerce operations
- Build a relationship with our product & tech teams across domains to create scalable processes with technology as the backbone and help reduce the overall barrier of entry for merchants in the market
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in an Internet tech startup market launcher, e-commerce platform strategy & operations, management consulting, corporate business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, or relevant equivalent experience
- Extensive strategy project experience with a proven track record of program management; demonstrated ability to suggest and execute solutions that drive business results
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and passion for building, leading, and developing people
- Ability to thrive in a rapid, agile, and often ambiguous environment with a growth mindset
- Attention to detail, affinity for analytics, logical and strong problem solving skills
