If so, we are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic TMC Manager to bring their leadership and expertise to support the Supplier and Category Strategy function of the Global Travel and Events program. In this role we are seeking a customer obsessed TMC operator to help support the global team in their daily initiatives to deliver bar raising program support and to delight our customers.
The TMC Manager for Global Travel and Events will be part of a team of Travel and Events supplier and category experts responsible for the effective execution and ongoing support large travel and event programs. This role will be responsible for activities including TMC/Agency/Technology management initiatives, Responsible for SLA's/KPI's management, internal project support and delivering a bar raising customer experience to support the firm's business travel program objectives.
Key job responsibilities
\tSupport Travel and Events supplier spend and program strategies in accordance with business strategies and program goals
\tEnhances the employee experience by supporting value creation projects which may require change management, stakeholder alignment, and relationship management with global suppliers.
\tSupports internal teams on sourcing events from requirement building through program implementation
\tSupports cost and savings analysis which analyze the impact of decisions, shows alternative options and decision criteria including cost estimates and supplier recommendations
\tParticipates in the design and development of strategic plans, roadmaps, budget and resource planning; working closely with leadership to align to broader strategies
\tContributes to the creation of white papers, strategic plans and business reviews to inform, influence decisions and gain agreement from key stakeholders and leadership
\tDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to share and leverage best practices and drive innovation (e.g., finance, procurement, legal and other business teams)
\tAssist in implementing new travel tools, monitoring adoption and tracking areas of improvement
\tAssist with travel communications and any travel related marketing activities
\tPerforms market research to discover new suppliers and qualify existing suppliers
\tReporting and tracking productivity metrics for the global travel projects
\tContract ownership + Support to contracts utilized by the TMC and Technology.
\tRigorous contract management and oversight
\tStrong Negotiation ability
\tManage the relationship for TMC and Technology providers for AT&E with the goal of continuous improvement and cost reduction
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- 7+ years of TMC category management experience / travel and meeting supplier management
- 5+ years travel operations experience
- Proven track record of supporting travel initiatives and programs
- Experience with remote team settings
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Innovative, hands-on, results-oriented, great use of process improvements and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Comprehensive understanding of the travel and meeting industry ecosystem
- Experience with travel and meeting supply base, travel technologies, and meetings management systems
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and project management tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $125,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $202,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
