To support this challenge, Syngenta's Crop Protection Production & Supply team is currently seeking a remote Tolling Manager inWinnipeg, Canada.
Role Purpose:
This role focuses on third-party manufacturing (tolling) to minimize Syngenta's supply risks. Key responsibilities include ensuring that tollers comply with Syngenta's HSES and quality standards while meeting all regulatory, contractual, and financial commitments. It's also vital to maintain a tolling supply base that provides reliable production flexibility at a competitive price. Furthermore, you will coordinate and consult with multiple Syngenta departments on tolling and toller-related issues, serving as the primary managerial contact.

Accountabilities:
- Accountable for Syngenta HSES policies, quality policies, Crop Life guidance, and good stewardship and sustainability are understood and adopted by the toller; enforce appropriate management processes at the toller.
- First point of contact on technical issues, report and manage any significant, continuing risks and compliance gaps and address any significant operational issues that arise at the toller.
- Support HSES and quality audits and drive timely response on findings and action plans.
- Investigate complaints and ensure resolution through the appropriate interfaces.
- Ensure product specific documentation is complete and correct; implement any product change requests impacting products at tollers.
- Ensure QOTIF targets are met through effective collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Measure toller performance (capability mapping) and drive continuous improvement where appropriate.
- Identify and implement outsource siting options where needed and know the market.
- Define requirements to contractually secure adequate capacity and competitive cost with the support of the Procurement business partner.
- Monitor the total tolling cost (per kg/liter) to identify and realize savings opportunities.
- Lead/participate in selected projects, including new product introductions.
- Ensure master data (including BOMs and OLAs) is set-up correctly and accurately maintained; Investigate production usage / toll fee variances and ensure resolution through appropriate interfaces. Responsible for defining scrap factors.
Qualifications
Required skills:
- Engineering degree and/or five years professional experience in a manufacturing or a technical role with close manufacturing interface (e.g., Product Technology & Engineering).
- Basic understanding of formulation, fill & pack technology and processes.
- Knowledge of 3rd party relationship management.
- Knowledge of HSE, Quality and Regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Working experience in a manufacturing environment.
