Education
Track or OCS technologies. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
Relevant Experience Required (i.e. directly linked to the requirements of the position/role)
Minimum of five years of experience in track or OCS maintenance or construction.
Specialized or Cross-Functional Knowledge / Relevant Experience Required For the Position/Role
Knowledge or the ability to rapidly attain a thorough knowledge of operations and maintenance rules, plans, procedures and instructions and relevant technical information.
Ability to lead and manage a diverse team of maintenance personnel and functions.
Experience in labour relations and the preparation and monitoring of budgets are an asset.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to maintain a good rapport with employees and other personnel, and the ability to deal courteously and effectively with others.
Road vehicle driving license required.

About this vacancy
Responsibilities:
- Effectively contribute to the safety, availability, and reliability of the track and overhead catenary system and all associated subsystems and components, such as track switches and heaters, track geometry, noise & vibration mitigation, OCS contact wire, messenger and span wires, auto tensioners, and OCS geometry.
- Organizing and controlling the provision of maintenance service vehicles, access to track level, materials, tools, equipment, training, manuals, and procedures for the Track / OCS maintenance team.
- Planning, coordinating, and assignment of all maintenance functions using the GSI (SAP-driven) MMIS. Direct oversight and auditing of work performed by the Track / OCS technicians.
- Developing and implementing techniques and procedures to ensure all maintenance functions are conducted safely, reliably, and efficiently.
- Assessment, classification, and identification of the appropriate mitigation actions for system and component failures and emergency incident response within established guidelines.
