The selected candidate will have a client facing role with part-time on-site client activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level engineer to growth their career while having direct interactions with clients and local projects. The team follows a flexible hybrid work model with 2-3 days in-person at the office.

Essential Functions:
- Candidate has general knowledge of general policies and implementation of Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans and Work Zone Traffic Control Plans.
- Provides general support to the Traffic Engineering Team by conducting various studies and developing solutions for addressing safety, traffic congestion and multimodal transportation needs.
- Candidate will support general program management activities at the client site.
- Candidate will assist with review of MOT and work zone policy in addition to quality control and peer review activities.
- Prepares documentation and technical reports for traffic engineering studies.
- Performs as-needed field reviews and observation for evaluating field conditions and assessing typical traffic operations and safety conditions.
- Knowledgeable of applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and practices that are pertinent to respective discipline.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited program or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Maryland Professional Engineering (PE) registration or the ability to obtain their PE within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum 5 years of experience.
- Must possess basic knowledge of production software.
- Must possess solid oral and written communications skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PTOE preferred but not required.
- Experience in the field of MOT and Work Zone Traffic Control.
- Experience with traffic analysis software, such as HCS, Synchro, and VISSIM.
- Experience with GIS.
- Prior experience with Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is preferred but not required.
