Description

The Corradino Group seeks a highly motivated self-starter to join our team in Tennesseeas a Traffic Engineer. Under direction of the senior manager, the candidate may be responsible for, but not limited to, corridor studies, traffic impact studies; safety studies; operational analyses; traffic signal designs; intersection designs; traffic signal timings; ITS planning and design; travel demand forecasting/modeling; cost estimating; roadway lighting, and report preparation for clients such as state, regional and local governments and private entities.

Responsibilities
  • Assists in development of project scopes, schedules, and budgets
  • Prepares technical reports, specifications, construction drawings, and environmental studies.
  • Prepares design plans, including preliminary, ROW and construction, utilizing design software.
  • Evaluates alternative designs.
  • Conducts field evaluation and implementation.
  • Serves as technical liaison with clients.
  • Attends project meetings.
  • Adheres to company standards for quality assurance and quality control.


Position Requirements

Requirements
  • Education: BSCE or BSEE from an ABET accredited engineering program
  • Years of Experience: 3-10 years
  • Registration: EI required or PE a plus
  • Knowledgeable in DOT standards; specifications; design methods and plan preparation
  • Knowledgeable with MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual and ITE criteria and guidelines.
  • Must possess strong verbal and communication skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to drive and possess a valid driver's license
  • Required Skills: Microstation; Geopak; Microsoft Office; Synchro; HCS
  • Additional Skills a plus: TransModeler; ArcGIS; Traffic signal controller timing/programming
