Churchill Consulting Engineers is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our team working on environmental service projects for various local, state and federal agencies in our Berlin office (commutable distance from Philadelphia). Main responsibilities will be assisting with environmental permitting associated primarily with large scale infrastructure projects. Candidate should be energetic, self-motivated and eager to join a team of experienced professionals.

Churchill Consulting Engineers is seeking a Traffic Engineer to join our team in Berlin, NJ. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traffic analysis, signal design, and transportation planning. A Professional Engineer (PE) license and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification are required. Experience with MicroStation is preferred.
As a Traffic Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting traffic studies, designing signal systems, and developing transportation solutions that improve safety and efficiency. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth within a respected consulting firm.
Responsibilities:
Traffic Analysis & Modeling: Conduct traffic impact studies, capacity analysis, and safety evaluations using industry-standard software. Signal & Intersection Design: Design traffic signals, roadway signage, pavement markings, and intersection improvements following NJTA, NJDOT and MUTCD standards. Transportation Planning & Studies: Develop traffic control plans, detour plans, and transportation management strategies for public and private sector projects. Regulatory Compliance & Permitting: Prepare reports, design documents, and permit applications to ensure compliance with NJTA, NJDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and local transportation agencies. Plan Development & Software Utilization: Prepare technical drawings and design plans using CAD software, with a preference for MicroStation.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or a related field.
- Licenses & Certifications: PE and PTOE required.
- Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, including signal design, roadway safety analysis, and transportation planning.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, HCS, VISSIM) and CAD software (MicroStation preferred).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with NJTA, NJDOT, MUTCD, AASHTO, and local traffic engineering standards and guidelines.
