Are you a self-motivated, team player, transportation professional seeking an opportunity to make a significant impact in a vibrant city? If so, The City of Abbotsford's Transportation Division is looking for a transportation professional to join their growing team as the Traffic Engineer. This is currently an exempt full-time opportunity.
Reporting to the Senior Transportation Engineer, this incumbent has extensive expertise in traffic and transportation engineering while providing significant technical input in traffic engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with development and other transportation staff to help deliver the City's Transportation and Transit Master Plan. This position will be help consolidate the division's input on all transportation planning and traffic engineering matters. Additional responsibilities include writing and presenting reports to Council and Committees of Council.
You excel in community engagement, team building, project and traffic management. You possess extensive knowledge of current transportation and development related standards, traffic and transportation engineering along with considerable knowledge of provincial standards and local government processes and bylaws relating to transportation and transit. You are a strong motivating leader with a set purpose to deliver projects timeously and to the highest degree of professionalism. The position is a member of the transportation team including engineers, technologists and other junior staff involved in transportation and transit within the City.

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer designation
- A minimum of two years of experience in transportation engineering and project management including experience with transportation design and traffic operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Eligible for registration as an EGBC Professional Engineer or Professional Licensee Engineering in British Columbia.
The salary range is $118,518.40 to $139,867.
