As a Traffic Modeler, you will lead and oversee the development of comprehensive traffic models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
Responsibilities, Expectations, and Duties:
- Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive traffic models for various projects, ensuring accuracy and reliability
- Work within a team of project managers, design engineers, technicians, and support staff to successfully complete a variety of projects
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to present findings and recommendations
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish
- Provide training and mentoring to junior-level staff
- Provide QC/QA checks of modeling work from other staff engineers
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 15+ years of experience in traffic modeling engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred
- Thorough knowledge of Travel Demand, Microsimulation, and Intersection level modeling
- Proficiency in using Cube, Vissim, Visum, Vistro, Synchro, TransCad, and TransModeler preferred
- Proven experience managing and leading teams on complex transportation projects
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
