Position Overview:

RISA is looking for a Training Specialist III. Supports training with the implementation and delivery of training courses and for helping to test, deliver, and review new and existing courseware. The Technical Trainer will teach and help maintain the curriculum based on customer guidance and mission support area.

Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated experience in experiential learning and adult learning methodologies.
  • Develop Cybersecurity training courses and curriculum.
  • Candidates may be required to administer testing.
  • Selected Candidates will need to demonstrate experience and expertise employing the principles of adult learning to deliver learning solutions in a classroom and through distance learning.
  • Track the Training and Development Services and Documentation Development Services,
  • Proven individual with strong facilitation skills who can motivate new employees to actively participate in classroom instruction using relevant activity-based learning events and on-line real-time collaboration tools (e.g., Cisco Jabber, Video Teleconferencing, blogs, e-forum discussions based on Adobe Acrobat Connect, etc.).
  • Ability to clearly communicate information in training materials as well as the ability to provide multiple approaches to training and hands-on demonstrations to satisfy learning requirements for varying audiences.
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable about the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community structures.
  • Provide support to the section as needed during peak mission times.
  • Demonstrate self-sufficiency and governance.
  • Provides guidance to lower-level technicians and specialists.
  • Works individually and actively participates on integrated teams.
  • Understands and applies more advanced concepts and processes to daily activities.
  • Assists more senior-level technicians, specialists, and managers in their activities.
  • Can perform all tasks of lower-level technicians or specialists.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field.
  • 6+ years' experience working as a Training Specialist.
  • Requires two or more years of related technical and managerial experience in an Enterprise environment.
  • Must have current IAT II 8540.1 Compliant and A+ CE or Security + CE Certification.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification or relevant knowledge of ITIL process and procedures.

Work Environment:

Professional Office Environment: Must be able to sit at a desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands:
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone.
  • Must be able to communicate regularly via telephone and verbally present information to employees, customers, and outside vendors.

Expected Hours of Work:
  • 40 hours per week based on the customer's core operating hours.
