Pay: $125,000-$150,000/yr

We are seeking an experienced, successful, and engaged Transaction Manager to join our team. This position is expected to work out of our office at 610 E. Gish Rd. in San Jose and limited job-related travel may be required.

Position Summary:

GreenWaste is seeking to fill the position of Transaction Manager to provide support to one or more facilities. This role's main functions include directly supporting the Transaction Senior Manager with evaluating and new investment opportunities and providing assessment to the GreenWaste executive management team.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Management (M&A and Inorganic Growth)
  • Assist with due diligence projects to highlight the risks and opportunities associated with growth, working capital requirements, or underperformance of target companies
  • Assist with managing the end-to-end transaction process, including the direction of GreenWaste teams and external advisors
  • Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to provide strategic financial insights
  • Prepare materials for and present to the relevant company Investment Committee as well as the Asset Management team
  • Participate actively in the development of junior team members by providing coaching and performance feedback, and fostering a team-based working culture
  • Commercial Assessment and Financial Modelling
  • Manage the financial modeling process, in conjunction with the Transactions team
  • Manage the completion of EBITDA and net working capital analyses underlying a deal's critical valuation metrics while assessing the corporate governance and financial reporting environment
  • Ability to prepare, review, and analyze historical and pro forma financial statements to assess trends and fluctuations that may impact cash flows and deal valuation
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives
  • Assist with pricing analysis and develop pricing strategy to ensure competitive positioning and profitability across services.
  • Lead financial analysis to support business decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, profitability analysis, and scenario planning.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • A proven track record of success that includes deal execution and project management, and appropriate investment knowledge and experience, gained from work at an investment firm or a large institutional investor or family office
  • Strong leadership skills and an experience in leading high performing FP&A teams and external counterparties
  • Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships
  • Strong influencing and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn new processes and businesses quickly, with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Expertise with developing and maintaining complex models for financial reporting and investment analysis purposes
  • Transaction services experience required, including knowledge of financial due diligence process and QofE review
  • Detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines
  • Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; able to manage multiple projects
  • Recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve routine problems
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Must have more than 5 years of experience leading transactions and high performing teams
  • Investment analysis experience required


Language Skill:

  • Proficiency in English


Work Environment:
  • Must be able to sit or stand in front of a computer for prolonged periods
  • Must be able to travel for site visits and acquisition target assessment
