Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $6 7,933 - $80,421 (TA)
Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $7 8,874 - $87,847 (TA)
Associate Transit Management Analyst: $8 9,162 - $115,445 (TA)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transit Management Analyst Trainee: The selected candidate will assist with reviewing and approving system-wide material forecasts, and monitoring material usage for various shops. They will support the operation with managing material order fulfillments based on capacity, BOM (Bill of Materials), lead times and production goals. Identify manpower needs and allocate labor to satisfy production goals by conducting labor studies and manpower needs to satisfy SMS plan. Control material shipments. Analyze data on material usage vs. forecasts system-wide, both in Overhaul and Maintenance facilities. Will perform Ad Hoc projects as requested and in support of the operation as needed.
Transit Management Analyst Series: The selected candidate will play a vital role in DCE Production & Planning, focusing on the analysis, research, and strategic planning necessary for railcar systems and components to maintain the optimal performance of our car fleets. This position requires overseeing system-wide material forecasts for various shops, involving a comprehensive review process, vigilant monitoring, and diligent approval procedures to ensure seamless operations and efficiency.
They will work under direction but have significant latitude to take independent initiatives and make informed judgments. The role involves utilizing various computer software and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Power BI, Access, and databases such as RSMIS and Hexagon (EAM), to collect, analyze, and present data effectively.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Transit Management Analyst Trainee:
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
Assistant Transit Management Analyst I & Assistant Transit Management Analyst II :
A master's degree from an accredited college or university in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and at least one year of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or
A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above.
Associate Transit Management Analyst:
A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or
