Position Summary: The Transportation Manager implements transportation solutions and oversees the Transportation team in its day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for developing strategies and processes within the Leaf Home Supply Chain, meeting company objectives on service, growth, cost, and cash flow.

Position Summary: The Transportation Manager implements transportation solutions and oversees the Transportation team in its day-to-day operations. This role is responsible for developing strategies and processes within the Leaf Home Supply Chain, meeting company objectives on service, growth, cost, and cash flow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing a transportation strategy in support of business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement transportation management systems (TMS), telematics, routing software, and other relevant technologies.
- Evaluate existing transportation processes and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline transportation operations, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of transportation processes and initiatives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to automate manual processes, enhance visibility, and improve decision-making capabilities.
- Manage relationships with transportation service providers, including carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure cost-effectiveness and service excellence.
- Monitor vendor performance and implement corrective actions as necessary to maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of transportation professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the transportation team.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, including training, coaching, and performance management.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Experience and Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 3+ years of experience in supply chain, transportation, purchasing, or distribution management.
- 2+ years of people management experience.
- Competent understanding of engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, finance, supply chain principles, and demand/supply planning.
- Hands-on experience with supply chain management software.
- Project management experience.
- Experience implementing/working with transportation management software (TMS).
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without "dropping the ball."
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a "roll up your sleeves" and "win every day" mentality.
- Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
- Detail-oriented and can focus on the task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.

- Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, and solve complex problems.
- Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
- Strong math aptitude and quantitative problem-solving approach.
- Business reporting/data gathering software experience.
- Less than 10% domestic travel required.
- Additional hours may be required (exempt positions).
- Normal office environment.
- Performs indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
- Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
