Job Summary

The Transportation Manager is responsible for effectively managing Innovative Integrated Health's transportation department. The Transportation Manager maximizes real-time operations that facilitate the efficient use of resources (drivers, time, and vehicles) to achieve participant satisfaction, productivity, schedule adherence and strategic goals specific to the department.

Essential Job Functions

Duties include, but not limited to:
  • Oversees daily activities of the Transportation department operations.
  • Interfaces with the leadership team to ensure smooth processes involving the transportation department and identifies needs, including staffing needs.
  • Ensures efficient operations within the department; notifies the Director of Transportation of any issues escalating within the department and provides problem-resolution strategies; ensures communication of real-time staffing challenges.
  • Prepares transportation metrics and driver performance/safety reporting for Management as needed.
  • Participates in daily, weekly, monthly, and annual planning processes as appropriate.
  • Has the ability to take prompt corrective action, where necessary, or suggests alternative courses of action.
  • Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned. Holds staff accountable to expected performance.
  • Ensures compliance with all required staff training.
  • Involved in the development and implementation of Quality Improvement activities.
  • Oversees participant grievances and is involved in the resolution process.
  • Understands and navigates the Electronic Health Records system.
  • Understands the Time & Labor management system including timecard corrections and processing time off request.
  • Conducts and administers staff Performance Evaluations and prepares written performance appraisals.
  • Ensure adequate staffing; fill in as needed during periods of short staffing.
  • Involved in the recruitment process including selecting candidates to interview and making decisions about potential new hires in the department.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-services, projects, and committees as assigned.
  • Adhere to and support the center's practices, procedures, and policies including assigned break times and attendance.
  • Accept assigned duties in a cooperative manner; and perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Be flexible in the schedule of hours worked.
  • May require use of personal vehicle.

  • Ability to access all areas of the center throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally, 15 pounds frequently, and 7 pounds constantly; required to obtain assistance from another qualified employee when attempting to lift or transfer objects over 25 pounds.
  • Requires constant hand grasp and finger dexterity; frequent sitting, standing, walking and repetitive leg and arm movements, occasional bending, reaching forward and overhead; squatting and kneeling.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with an excellent comprehension of the English language.
  • Work is generally performed in an indoor, well-lighted, well-ventilated, heated, and air-conditioned environment.


Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience working in operations and transportation route coordination. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in employee management.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of documented experience in working with a frail or elderly population.


Education and Certification

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or any other field related to management preferred.
  • Current driver's license in the state of California.
  • Medically cleared for communicable diseases and has all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact.

Salary Description

$68,640.00 - $95,000.00 year
