Job Purpose
As the Transportation Operations Leader, you will be instrumental in supporting and facilitating the transformation of Alstom's transportation organization, in alignment with our Supply Chain strategy. Your role will involve optimizing the onboarding, operations, and shipments of the Transport Control Tower (TCT), ensuring compliance with established processes and regulations, as well as managing relationships with key strategic providers to drive transformative initiatives.

Job Purpose
As the Transportation Operations Leader, you will be instrumental in supporting and facilitating the transformation of Alstom's transportation organization, in alignment with our Supply Chain strategy. Your role will involve optimizing the onboarding, operations, and shipments of the Transport Control Tower (TCT), ensuring compliance with established processes and regulations, as well as managing relationships with key strategic providers to drive transformative initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the onboarding and daily operational performance of TCT, ensuring strict adherence to established processes.
- Lead governance efforts between Alstom and transportation service providers.
- Maintain the Transportation performance scorecard, focusing on service quality and cost control.
- Ensure the completeness and quality of service deliveries, executing corrective actions as necessary.
- Support strategic programs, projects, and network studies to advance the operational objectives of the Transportation organization.
- Facilitate effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders, acting as the customs referent.
Supervisory Duties
- Supervise daily TCT operational activities and ensure all deliverables are timely and complete.
- Plan and monitor key project milestones (e.g., transport budget, onboarding process, and service provider invoicing).
- Address day-to-day operational issues and ensure customs compliance.
- Provide status updates and visibility to all stakeholders.
- Assist Alstom Services Sites in achieving quality, cost, and delivery expectations through effective inventory and cost optimization.
- Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues raised by colleagues.
Supplier Management
- Supervise the onboarding of suppliers and maintain master data updates.
- Manage an Open Item list and update the Supplier Onboarding Dashboard.
- Coordinate meetings with sites to expedite supplier onboarding and oversee communications.
- Conduct necessary training sessions for suppliers.
Continuous Improvement Initiatives
- Conduct regular performance reviews with service providers and internal customers.
- Manage quality and claims by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and network studies to optimize shipments and equipment utilization.
- Monitor cost performance against the budget, analyze deviations, and propose actionable plans.
Performance Management
- Implement and maintain standard KPIs to effectively track transportation performance.
- Design reports that satisfy stakeholder needs and support data collection from both internal systems and external sources.
- Ensure effective communication channels are operational between Alstom and service providers.
Process Consistency and Compliance
- Support the deployment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Transportation Routing guides across all sites.
- Measure compliance with routing standards and assess any applicable extra charges.
Education and Experience
- Mandatory: University degree in International Transport or Supply Chain field, along with a minimum of 2 years of validated experience in logistics, 3PL management, and a thorough understanding of customs regulations.
- Desirable: Knowledge of efficient transportation management principles and proficiency in SAP.

- Demonstrated autonomy, proactivity, and strong decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $65,700 - $103,180
