Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater and civil infrastructure, is seeking a licensed Transportation Project Manager to join our company. Candidates will have experience in engineering and managing transportation infrastructure projects, and proven business development and client relationship skills.

Office locations for this position are Portland, ME | Topsham, ME | Bedford, NH | Portsmouth, NH |Providence, RI | Middletown, CT | Burlington, MA
Responsibilities
  • Engineering of surface transportation facilities including vehicular, pedestrian and rail systems, and associated site designs and stormwater management systems.
  • Technical and financial management of teams to deliver projects.
  • Business development including proposal development and client management.
  • Quality control and technical advisory of project deliverables for transportation projects in accordance with Wright-Pierce standards.
Essential Functions
  • Develops basis of design criteria, checks design drawings and specifications and preliminary design reports in accordance with AASHTO, state, and local requirements
  • Develops and checks project opinions of cost
  • Coordinates project scopes, schedules, and budgets with clients and the project team
  • Effective written, verbal, and organization skills
  • Desire to manage and mentor staff
  • Able to build strong relationship with clients and coworkers
  • Collaborate with others to leverage Company's collective capabilities
  • Committed to continual learning
Experience
  • 10 plus years of experience in design of civil / transportation engineering projects
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and or Bentley Open Roads Designer
  • A minimum of two years of project management experience
  • Previous work in New Hampshire and Massachusetts preferred
Certifications
  • Registered Professional Engineer required or ability to obtain in six months
Education
  • BS. Degree in Civil Engineering or similar
