Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking to employ one of several Trauma Surgeons for our ACS-accredited Level I Trauma Center located in Neptune, New Jersey. Candidates must be trained in Critical Care/Trauma fellowship & must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. The position includes Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery responsibilities.
Jersey Shore University Medical Center is the trauma center for adults and children in the region, providing expertise and specialty capabilities unavailable at any other hospital in Monmouth or Ocean County.

Opportunity Information
- Level I Trauma Center, 24/7/365 with board-certified trauma surgeons, 24 hr CT scans and OR, SICU, and PICU
- Days/nights/ weekends/holidays with rotating shifts
- Treat adults and pediatric patients
Responsibilities
- Manages a variety of patients in the critical care setting. He/She serves as an advisor, resource, preceptor, and leader for other members of the patient care team. The trauma/critical care Physician provides direct and indirect patient care optimizing patient safety to a patient population consisting of, but not limited to, clients from GI/GU, thoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, GYN oncology, trauma, OB-GYN, and orthopedic subspecialties.
