Job Description:

- Perform initial evaluations, including orders, diagnoses, history, subjective findings, and discharge plan.
- Assess performance in areas of occupation, such as activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, education, work, play, leisure, and social participation.
- Evaluate performance skills, including motor skills, process skills, communication/interaction skills, and performance patterns like habits, routines, and roles.
- Consider factors influencing occupational performance, such as context, activity demands, and client factors.
- Develop patient-centered and function-focused plans and recommendations, including measurable goals and equipment needs.
- Provide treatment interventions that meet functional, psychological, cultural, educational, and spiritual needs.
- Conduct self-care, home management training, and community or work reintegration training.
- Utilize therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic procedures, neuromuscular reeducation, therapeutic activities, wheelchair management, orthotic management, prosthetic management, cognitive skills development, and sensory motor techniques.
- Apply therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation, hot/cold packs, and paraffin.
- Demonstrate effective collaboration and documentation of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Conduct discharge planning, providing education on home programs, equipment, and recommendations for follow-up care.
- Complete all documentation in a timely and thorough manner.
- Meet established departmental productivity standards.
- Consistently utilize service techniques to establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Assume responsibility for work quality, pursue educational advancement, and meet departmental continuing education requirements.
- Provide supervision for students during clinical rotations.
- Engage in process improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Perform additional duties as directed and adhere to dress code and personal hygiene standards.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and observe universal precautions.
