Job Description
Job Title: Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
Profession: Radiology
Specialty: Cath Lab
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 7.5
Experience: Minimum of 1 year
License: ARRT or RCIS
Certifications: ACLS, BLS
Must-Have:
Must have Cath lab experience.
Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Experience scrubbing cardiac catheterization cases or STEMI calls is required.
Description:
This is a Cath lab opening for a Radiologic Technologist.
The Rad Tech will be starting and is expected to scrub Cath lab, EP, and peripheral procedures from day one.
The unit has four rooms and currently has eight full-time staff members, with an optimal number of twelve full-time staff.
Types of staff include day shift RNs and Techs with a minimum of three staff members per room.
Night shifts are on-call only, with a four-man team always available.
Patient ratio is one patient to each team of three to four staff members.
Equipment utilized includes GE X-ray equipment, Impella, IABP, Atherectomy, IVUS/OCT, FFR/RFR, and more.
EMR systems used include Maclab for case charting and Meditech for facility management.
Typical procedures performed include:
Cath lab procedures, IR (Permcath, fistula), EP (device, ablation, watchman), and peripheral angiograms.
No neuro IR procedures are performed.
The ideal candidate will be adaptable, willing to be a team player, and possess Maclab monitoring experience.
Call is required with alternating weekends.
No-call requests should be submitted ahead of contract.
The expected call schedule is approximately 14-15 days per month.
Dress code includes hospital-provided scrubs.
