License: Current RN License
Certifications: ACLS preferred
Must-Have:
Must have current Cath Lab experience (minimum 2 years).
Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Description:
Unit Information:
Number of Beds - 4 procedural rooms and 14 recovery bays.
Number of Staff - 45.
Day shift staffing is 3-4 staff per procedural room.
Night shift requires an on-call 4 person team.
Patient Ratios: 3-4 staff per patient procedure.
Type of equipment includes Cath, EP, IR, Neuro IR Lab EMR.
Typical hiring profile:
Most recruited for travel RNs, local CNAs, and sitters.
Preferred or nice to have skills include:
IR, EP, Neuro IR, and cardiac intervention.
Typical procedures performed include:
Cardiac cath R&L.
IABP.
PTCA.
Thrombolytic infusion.
Pacemakers.
Stents.
IVUS.
AngioJet.
Arthrectomy.
Angiography.
BiV implants.
EP studies.
IVC filters.
Coilings.
Impella insertions.
Carotid stenting.
Carotid angiograms.
Renal angiograms.
AICD implants.
All IR procedures.
Dress Code:
Scrub color - any, but provided by the facility.
Footwear must include black, white, or gray shoes.
Unit Guidelines/Policies:
Call is required two nights per week and every other weekend.
Awards/Recognition:
Consider items such as new equipment or technology, staff tenure, and experience.
Schedule options may be available.
This is a very competitive market, and any information will help attract talent.
