Must-Have:
Candidates must have the ability to scrub cardiovascular surgery procedures.
Candidates must have the ability to scrub general procedures and other cases.
Description:
The unit has 10 Operating Room (OR) Suites and 1 Cysto Suite.
There are 8 full-time Surgical Technologists and 2 PRN Technologists.
The staff includes 10 Operating Room Nurses and 2 PRN OR Nurses.
During the day shift, the team consists of 1 Charge Nurse, 7-8 Technologists, and 8 RNs.
Three Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are also part of the staffing.
After 5 PM, on-call staff works either 14-hour or 16-hour shifts.
Night shift staffing is comprised solely of on-call personnel after 7 PM.
The typical patient ratio is 1:1 for general cases, and 2:2 for cardiovascular cases.
The electronic medical record system used is MediTech.
Surgical procedures include CABGs, Mitral Valve replacements, Femoral Bypasses, and Thrombectomies.
Other procedures include orthopedic, neuro/spine, general surgery (robotics), gynecological (robotics), urological, ENT, and podiatry surgeries.
The ideal candidate should possess a positive attitude and be willing to collaborate with the team.
Weekend and on-call coverage may be required for 1-2 nights a week and 1 weekend a month.
A weekend team is available on-site for 12 hours each day, but additional coverage for emergency cases may be necessary.
Dress code requires blue scrubs provided by the facility due to daily change requirements.
