Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Management:
- Ensure a safe work environment for all personnel on-site, including employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Supervise and manage the safety program, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, and other federal safety standards.
- Perform regular safety audits and inspections, identifying potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
- Provide guidance on safety best practices, conduct safety training, and ensure all workers have the necessary safety certifications.
- Quality Control:
- Develop, implement, and enforce the Quality Control (QC) program to ensure that all work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality assessments to identify issues, deviations, and necessary improvements.
- Coordinate with the project team to monitor and ensure compliance with design drawings, project specifications, and contract requirements.
- Address and resolve any quality issues promptly to prevent delays and rework.
- Project Supervision and Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project schedules.
- Supervise construction crews, manage materials, and ensure the correct allocation of equipment and labor for each phase of construction.
- Communicate with subcontractors to ensure their work is completed on time and meets project standards.
- Monitor project costs and progress, ensuring work is completed within budget and on schedule.
- Client and Team Interaction:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Regularly communicate with the client and other key parties to provide updates on project status, safety compliance, quality issues, and cost projections.
- Prepare and submit required reports, including daily progress reports, quality control documentation, and safety logs.
- Construction and Scheduling:
- Oversee the implementation of construction phases, ensuring that resources are allocated appropriately and all tasks are completed on time.
- Work with Project Manager to adjust project plans and schedules as necessary to address unforeseen challenges or changes in scope.
- Ensure that all tools, materials, and equipment are delivered on time to keep the project moving forward.
- Coordinate with inspectors to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including permits and licenses.
- Education:
- High school diploma is required.
- Required Certifications:
- OSHA 30
- EM 385-1-1
- USACE Quality Control Manager (QCM) certification
- Experience:
- 5 or more years of triple-hat experience on federal construction projects
Compensation:
- $100-130K salary depending on experience
