Tissue Regeneration Specialist position overview

This Tissue Regeneration Specialist (TRS) is responsible for selling Organogenesis' Advanced Wound Care division products to physicians and surgeons in a variety of care settings. Primary responsibility will be to drive product adoption / utilization and revenue through strategic planning, relationship building, new account targeting, extensive product knowledge, and exceptional customer service.

W2 position
  • Full time, permanent W2 sales role with Organogenesis from day 1

Position reports to

  • Regional Sales Manager

Territory parameters

  • San Antonio, TX


Acceptable candidate location
  • Candidates within the territory

Overnight travel expectation

  • This role is expected to cover a territory that is largely commutable during business hours
    • Minimal overnight travel may be required for meetings, trade shows, dinner programs, etc.


Minimum requirements (required experience)

  • Medical sales experience
    • A background as an RN will be considered in lieu of sales experience
  • Documented track record of sales performance (territory growth, quota achievement, awards, promotions, etc.)
  • Consultative sales experience/mentality
    • Proficient in selling a product/service based on value (not exclusively based on price or sole source contracts)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Hunter mentality and abilities, strong work ethic, positive attitude, team player, coachable, passion for helping patients
  • Willing to travel as needed
  • 4 year degree


Ideal attributes/experience (preferred)
  • Medical device sales experience, ideally selling wound care products
  • Experience calling on Podiatry, Vascular Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons, General Surgeons, Dermatology, Wound Care Nurses (WOCN's)
  • Familiarity selling reimbursed (buy & bill) products


Compensation & benefits
  • Base salary: $90k - $95k
  • Commission / variable incentive: $100k uncapped paid on a sliding scale from 4.5% to 12% of revenue
    • Paid out monthly
  • Expected first year earnings: $185+

Job Description

Responsible for achieving the sales expectations of the assigned territory. Success is realized by building strong customer relationships, conducting consultative sales producing calls, utilizing solid product and disease state technical knowledge, developing and following a solid territory business plan, and reporting sales related activities to upper management through a call reporting system. This position will be responsible for selling product to physicians, surgeons, and support staff in hospital, office and clinics, and will require the specialist to support surgical cases where and when appropriate.
