The TUPSS Special Venues Sales Manager develops and implements the National Sales and Growth Strategy for The UPS Store nontraditional centers in the United States. Nontraditional centers are located in hotels, convention centers, universities, military bases, store in store locations, office buildings, and other locations. He/She manages national relationships with hotel chains, large retailers, corporate REITs (Real Estate Investment Trusts), hotel ownership groups, area franchisees in the TUPSS network, and university executives. This position manages the sales activity of the nontraditional development sales team and manages projects that assist the franchisor to innovate and stay relevant in the university and hospitality marketplace. He/She manages information that assists in building optimum sales force performance and compiles performance data to analyze sales trends. The TUPSS Special Venues Sales Manager manages budgets, resources, and ensures essential job functions are being completed. This position manages others.

Annual Hiring Salary Range
$95,520 - $155,220
Actual compensation offers to candidates may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at the offer.

Job Duties
Oversees Sales Activities, Resources, and Systems
- Manages nontraditional sales activity funnel to make sure all franchise sales deals are progressing on time and appropriately according to franchise standards.
- Reviews system process improvements with management to justify expenditures in the budget.
- Documents identified system process improvements.
- Conducts status meetings to review sales activities, redistribute work and resources, and review sales deals in the funnel.
- Solicits feedback from cross-functional partners to determine potential limitations and solutions for process improvements within the department.
- Manages people on national level-nontraditional sales team.
Manages Projects
- Manages project lifecycles, including project scope, resources, schedule, initiation, start-up/design, building, and deployment to see projects from beginning-to-end.
- Forwards project documents to stakeholders to obtain sign-off, agreement on project cost, and needed resources.
- Develops project plans (i.e., detailed plan, milestones, and work breakdown structures) and assigns tasks to resources to ensure that the project will be completed on time and according to specifications.
- Ensures affected functions or groups are identified and works with them to negotiate process changes, ownership of processes, and to manage project impact.
- Designs and implements communication plans to ensure those affected by projects are informed and updated.
- Follows up with assigned resources formally (e.g., status meetings, etc.) and informally to continuously manage the productivity of the team, project timelines, and deliverables.
- Balances multiple projects and deployment schedules to meet stakeholder goals and expectations.
Guides Training and Development
- Identifies training needs to ensure an effective and efficient workforce.
- Defines and coordinates sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives.
- Provides training opportunities to support skill and career development.
- Monitors training progress, provides feedback, and creates opportunities to support the growth and career development of the staff.
- Reviews systems to identify enhancements and updates to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Delivers training to internal staff and external stakeholders on process and system enhancements to ensure effective implementations.
Manages Data Analysis
- Modifies the sales funnel to display latest sales trends (e.g., weekly performance, sales funnel, etc.).
- Evaluates and analyzes data to determine additional methods and approaches for improved team performance.
- Analyzes data to assess strategic business opportunities, identify key sales performance drivers, and compare current performance against sales objectives.
Oversees National Client Relationships
- Identifies national retailers, hotel ownership groups, hotel chains, university associations, convention center management organizations, Army, Air Force, and Navy Service groups to develop relationships and grow nontraditional strategy.
- Maintains relationships with national clients, manages customer expectations, and contributes to sustaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Meets with C-level executives to promote the brand and develop franchising and operational agreements.
- Works with area franchisee network to provide opportunities for them to grow nontraditional locations in their area.
- Manages key customer relationships and participates in closing strategic opportunities.
- Meets with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
Negotiates Contracts and Agreements with National Strategic Partners
- Uses thorough understanding of franchise lease and contract agreements to negotiate contracts.
- Enforces nontraditional franchising standards.
Manages and Develops Others
- Manages resources and people processes (e.g., Performance Management, Career Development, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day to day administration of processes and formal procedures.
- Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, conferences, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
- Ensures that direct and indirect reports have documented career goals and detailed plans for achieving these goals to develop them personally and professionally.
- Conducts frequent performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to facilitate open communication and encourage continuous performance improvement.
- Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals.
- Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS's policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
- Coaches others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance.

QUALIFICATIONS
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or international equivalent
- 5 - 7 Years Sales Experience
- Understanding of Complex Sales Cycle
- Ability to Manage Others
- Willing to Travel 30% - 45%
