UI/UX Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented UI/UX Developer to join our global Equity Swaps technology team. This role is a key individual contributor position focused on shaping the future of our front-end strategy. You'll work on two major initiatives: enhancing a React-based data visualization platform for rapid dashboard creation, and leading a greenfield effort to migrate a suite of C# applications into a modern web-based UI framework. You'll be part of a high-performing, globally distributed team working closely with front-office users and other technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive UI/UX development on key projects including a React-based dashboarding tool and a greenfield web UI platform.
• Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and effective web interfaces.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for web UI development, particularly supporting teams in Montreal.
• Collaborate globally with peers and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, scalable delivery.
• Engage directly with front-office business users to gather requirements, present solutions, and iterate based on feedback.
• Deliver high-performing, well-tested UI features aligned with user needs and project goals.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute ideas to accelerate development and add business value.
• Maintain high standards of code quality, usability, and visual design across platforms.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience in modern front-end frameworks, specifically React or Angular.
• Proven ability to gather requirements from users and translate them into wireframes, mockups, and final UI components.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas and work collaboratively with stakeholders across departments.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks, execute independently, and guide others in web development best practices.
• Experience in working within global teams and navigating multi-time-zone collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with additional technologies such as C#, SQL, Python, Java, or kdb.
• Background working with front-office or financial technology teams.
• Understanding of data visualization techniques and tools.
• Experience migrating legacy desktop applications to modern web UI frameworks.

Certifications

• No certifications required; relevant certifications in front-end development, UX design, or financial systems are a plus.
