POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Perform a wide variety of routine and complex ultrasound procedures, including pelvic, abdominal, small parts and routine vascular examinations and may perform more complex imaging.
  • Prepares for and assists the physician in interventional procedures

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Minimum:
  • Completion of accredited school of diagnostic medical sonography.

Preferred:
  • Experience as a sonographer


**Must provide copy of diploma/degree for highest level of education obtained**

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

Minimum IF Sonography program is accredited through the ARRT:
  • ARRT certification prior to hire date
  • CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire.
  • Registered by ARDMS in abdomen and OB/Gyn within 12 months of hire.

Minimum IF Sonography program is accredited through CAAHEP
  • CPR certification required within three (3) months of hire.
  • Registered by ARDMS in abdomen and OB/Gyn within 12 months of hire.

Preferred:
  • Registered by ARDMS in abdomen, OB/Gyn and Vascular

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Minimum: Previous healthcare experience

Preferred: Two years of clinical experience
