Job Title: Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer
Job Specialty: Ultrasonography
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day, Saturday-Tuesday schedule, 5x8 Hr
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: 2 years
License: ARDMS registry
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
Must-Have: Excellent communication skills, proficiency in English, strong organizational skills, ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
- Perform Ultrasound procedures to obtain desired imaging results according to physician specifications.
- Responsible for the appropriate operation of all Ultrasound Imaging and related equipment.
- Educate and position patients correctly, ensuring safety and comfort during procedures.
- Coordinate Ultrasound examinations to ensure timely, quality, and continuous patient care.
- Follow and understand provider Imaging orders correctly.
- Submit required images and related clinical information to the Radiologist for interpretation.
- Evaluate image quality appropriately.
- Maintain open, accurate, and responsive communication with patients, coworkers, Radiologists, and leadership.
- Utilize, charge, and maintain department supplies appropriately.
- Practice sterile techniques and follow infection prevention policies.
- Handle multiple tasks and projects efficiently, meeting deadlines.
- Safely transfer patients for Ultrasound procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and use applications relevant to the position.
