We are seeking a skilled UNIX Administrator to design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise-level UNIX hardware and operating system environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing environments such as AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), HP-UX, and Solaris.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance, and supports enterprise efforts across system architecture, disaster recovery, and high availability initiatives.

We are seeking a skilled UNIX Administrator to design, configure, implement, and maintain enterprise-level UNIX hardware and operating system environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in managing environments such as AIX, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), HP-UX, and Solaris.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring system reliability, security, and performance, and supports enterprise efforts across system architecture, disaster recovery, and high availability initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and maintain UNIX systems (AIX, RHEL, HP-UX, Solaris).
- Perform system installations, upgrades, and configurations.
- Optimize backup processes, disk space allocation, and system security measures.
- Monitor performance and logs, and ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
- Design and implement redundant systems and data archiving policies to safeguard data integrity.
- Participate in feasibility studies, project scoping, and task/timeline estimation.
- Conduct UNIX authentication and security audits, addressing discrepancies and implementing remediation.
- Collaborate with users, technical support, and leadership to resolve service issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing within the technical team.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of UNIX systems administration experience (RHEL, Solaris, HP-UX).
- 5+ years of hands-on troubleshooting, performance tuning, and patching experience.
- 5+ years of experience with UNIX server clusters, load balancing, and virtualization.
- Active Secret Clearance and IT-I Critical Sensitive or Tier 5 (T5) eligibility at time of proposal submission.
- Relevant certification such as RHCSA or CompTIA Linux+ from a nationally recognized authority.
