Contract Role
Note: Any and all travel, per diem, parking, and/or living expenses shall be at the Candidate's and/or Vendor's expense. Texas Department of Family and Protective Services will provide pre-approved, written authorization for travel for any services to be performed away from the primary work location(s). Pre-approved travel expenses are limited to the rates and comply with the rules prescribed by the State of Texas for travel by its classified employees, including any requirement for original receipts.
The Candidate(s) may be required to work outside the normal business hours on weekends, evenings and holidays, as requested. Payment for work over 40 hours will be at the hourly rate quoted and must be coordinated and pre-approved through Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Job description:
The Worker is responsible for managing 1-3 projects for DFPS simultaneously using Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid project management methodologies. Work involves implementing projects for the Office of Data and Systems Improvement (ODSI).
This role may also be responsible for the following:
Manages the project lifecycle process for ODSI, with both internal and external business partners. Represents ODSI as a liaison to project teams and other DFPS partners, internal or external, empowered to make decisions on behalf of ODSI. Develops appropriate communications plans. Develops data related policy and procedures. Facilitates project meetings to align project team to goals and track project tasks.
