Role Overview
The Group Director of Enterprise Marketing will lead the Brand Strategy, Event Marketing, Content Marketing, and Vertical Marketing teams. This role is pivotal in driving "must buy" status for Walmart Connect's ad products across the media industry through heightened awareness and comprehension of our unique value proposition. The role includes responsibilities for guiding the Walmart Connect brand strategy, events, and ad sales marketing targeting multiple ad buying cohorts and category verticals.

San Bruno, California US-08848:The annual salary range for this position is $208,000.00-$416,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Role Overview
The Group Director of Enterprise Marketing will lead the Brand Strategy, Event Marketing, Content Marketing, and Vertical Marketing teams. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
- Vision Development: Develop both the short- and long-term vision for the Walmart Connect brand.
- Annual Brand Strategy: Create and measure the effectiveness of the annual brand strategy and the 3-year long-term vision.
- Messaging Strategy: Collaborate with the Corporate Communications team to build, drive alignment for, and adoption of an annual key messaging strategy and unique value proposition.
- Leadership Team Participation: Act as an integral part of the Walmart Connect Marketing leadership team. Attend bi-weekly meetings and quarterly off-sites to drive departmental-wide vision, mission, annual operating plans, budgeting, headcount planning, strategy, tactics, OKRs, and employee satisfaction. Present team strategic initiatives and measurable results at quarterly business reviews.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaboration and Partnership: Drive active collaboration and healthy partnerships with key cross-functional collaborators and internal clients including Walmart Connect executive leadership, sales leaders, corporate communications, product marketing, growth marketing, training and education, HR business partners, marketing operations, and Walmart events and shows team.
- Team Culture and Development
- Team Culture: Lead a healthy and positive team culture that lives up to the published Walmart values and drives team satisfaction as measured by an annual engagement study. Implement plans to coach, motivate, and develop individuals on the team-with clarity on personal goals and growth plans.
- Marketing Execution
- Strategy Execution: Coach direct reports in the delivery of tactics and key results including:
- Sales Narratives: Develop presentations that support our position, detail our ad products and launches, and enable revenue growth targeting specific cohorts and category verticals.
- Ad Campaigns: Create effective ad campaigns with clever creative and strategic media buys, including rigorous testing plans for optimization.
- Sales Enablement Content: Produce sizzle videos, case studies, one-sheets, and more.
- Content Marketing Strategy: Develop and oversee content marketing strategies that drive engagement and conversion, ensuring alignment with overall brand messaging and goals.
- Marcom Calendar: Develop and manage the calendar of key messages and activations.
- Brand Management: Protect and evolve the vision, voice, and creative guidelines of the Walmart Connect brand.
- Vendor Management: Contract with 3rd party agencies and external service providers as needed.
- Content Library: Maintain a single source of truth for approved sales marketing materials.
- Advertising Help Center Content: Oversee content for the advertising help center.
- Event Footprint: Manage an industry event footprint consisting of ~24 events, including activations at conferences such as CES, POSSIBLE, Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, Groceryshop, ANA Masters of Marketing, and other owned and operated events.
- Sales Summit: Oversee all aspects (logistics and content) of a 2-day sales summit annual kick-off for ~1000 associates.
- Trade Organizations: Manage trade organization memberships and benefit activations.
- Branded Swag: Oversee branded swag purchasing and online store inventory.
- Customer and Brand Health Metrics: Conduct voice of customer and brand health metric studies, delivering insights to drive future strategy and scorecards to track progress.
- Value Claims: Drive new, compelling claims to prove our value, scale, and performance.
Essential Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience leading an ad sales marketing team for a major media platform.
- Proven experience and influence in driving cross-functional partnerships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and executive presence.
- A proven track record in building marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
- A passion for crafting a brand's unique value proposition and bringing the benefits of buying to life.
- Experience producing events and content for conferences, presentations, and stage shows.
- Ability to coach others to deliver performant, unique, brand-appropriate tactics-on time and within budget.
