At Walmart, we help people save money so they can live better. This mission serves as the foundation for every decision we make and inspires us to shape the future of retail through data, technology, and innovation.

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Manager of Advanced Analytics to join our Inventory Transformation team. In this role, you will drive business impact by applying advanced analytics to complex supply chain and inventory challenges. You'll collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop insights, optimize processes, and influence decision-making at scale.

This is a high-visibility role ideal for someone with a strong foundation in analytics and data modeling, an ownership mindset, and a passion for improving how inventory flows through one of the world's largest supply chains.

  • Translating analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for data science, engineering, and merchandising teams
  • Owning analytics projects end-to-end-from problem framing and data exploration to recommendations and stakeholder alignment
  • Developing scalable SQL queries, dashboards, and lightweight models to identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Conducting exploratory and scenario-based analyses to shape future product capabilities and optimize decision frameworks
  • Partnering closely with business stakeholders to understand inventory and availability challenges and recommend data-driven solutions
  • Helping scale automation, standardization, and process improvement across replenishment and forecasting

You'll sweep us off our feet if you:
  • Have end-to-end ownership experience in replenishment, forecasting, or inventory management solutions and processes
  • Demonstrate a track record of taking initiative and driving outcomes in ambiguous or evolving environments
  • Have advanced SQL skills and experience with dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
  • Understand modeling concepts and are comfortable interpreting or supporting statistical models used in forecasting or optimization
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences through storytelling, presentations, and written documents
  • Thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytics, business insights, or strategy role
  • Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering) is a plus
  • Prior exposure to retail, ecommerce, or inventory planning is a plus
  • Experience working in large, matrixed organizations or high-stakes programs
