Who We're Looking For - UX Specialist

We are seeking a talented and experienced UX Specialist to join our team. The UX Specialist will play a key role in improving the user experience across our digital products and platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences.

With your exceptional design skills and data-driven approach, you will create designs that blend functionality with visual appeal, fulfilling the needs of our partners, internal stakeholders, and SEO initiatives. This is crucial to ensure the continued growth of our company. You will be responsible for developing user experiences that are scalable, responsive, and easy to navigate. These experiences should not only provide seamless customer interactions but also exceed our Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) goals. Your responsibilities will include discovering insights, identifying opportunities and requirements, and presenting them to both peers and leadership. Success in this position requires expertise in data-driven UI and UX design, mobile design, branding, online marketing and advertising. As a designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative and responsive design solutions for both mobile and web products. Your focus will be on optimizing these designs for conversions, from initial sketches and conceptual wires to high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and through to development and implementation. You will work closely with the product team and cross-functional groups to consistently enhance and optimize UX, with the ultimate goal of maximizing conversion rates and achieving specific goals within the funnel.

The Impact You Will Make
  • Conduct user research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to understand user needs, preferences, and behaviors.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to incorporate user insights into product design and development.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to visualize and communicate design concepts and user flows.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and other design artifacts to guide the design process and ensure alignment with user needs and business goals.
  • Iterate on design concepts based on user feedback, usability testing results, and design best practices.
  • Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the effectiveness of design solutions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze usability testing results and make recommendations for optimizing the user experience.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize and implement design enhancements based on usability testing findings.
  • Ensure that digital products and platforms comply with accessibility standards and guidelines, including WCAG and ADA requirements.
  • Advocate for inclusive design principles and best practices to ensure that products are accessible to users of all abilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design and user research.
  • Share knowledge and insights with team members, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, development, and QA, to deliver high-quality user experiences.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in UX design, user research, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in UX design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, or Figma.
  • Experience with user research methods and techniques, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and user feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and guidelines, and experience designing accessible digital products is preferred.
