The Value Stream Leader will provide leadership, direction and hands-on involvement while managing personnel and processes involved in areas of responsibility. This position is also responsible for driving the continuous improvement of our processes and will also support strategic initiatives and policy deployment objectives. Value Steam Leader is also responsible for Capacity Planning, CAPEX justification and leading new product integration within their value steam
Here's where you'll demonstrate your proficiencies:
- Oversees all value stream daily operations including environmental health and safety, quality, production, facilities and materials
- Provide motivation, mentoring, and leadership to team members to ensure the accomplishment of business objectives including meeting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and company objectives
- Lead Daily, weekly, and monthly Gemba reviews to drive alignment and focus on meeting and exceeding customer needs
- Establish and improve manufacturing capabilities for highly technical products and programs
- Develops and implements an annual operating plan including Kaizen opportunities, capital plan, efficiency projects and production department budget
- Responsible for scaling internal methodologies and driving positive engagement through ongoing development and management of cell leaders, buyer/planners, quality engineers and operators
- Work successfully with customers and suppliers as well as supporting functions for work critical to the business
- May be assigned additional projects and responsibilities at the sole discretion of the manager
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- BS degree in a related field (business, engineering, supply chain). MS or MBA is highly desired
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams within a Lean Manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership training or experience in a company management rotation at a previous employer is a plus
- Proven track record of applying lean manufacturing tools and delivering results (Leading & Sustaining Kaizens, Daily Management, 5S, Single Piece Flow, Standard Work, Kanban, TPM, TPI, etc)
- Ability to coach and mentor in a continuous improvement environment as well as deliver on commitments
- Data driven process management expertise
- Additional Experience in Materials, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering is a plus
