Job Description:

Pay Range: $45hr - $50hr
  • Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain security level.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues related and handling escalations from the team members.
  • Ensuring that the processes are adhered to while working on any problem, incident & change request.
  • Oversees and is responsible for successful completion of Installation, configuration and migration.
  • Improve and maintain customer and employee satisfaction by the way of quality on day to day tasks.
  • Understanding of Multi-Geo support environment and ensuring that the team is in-line to the industry standards.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining test environment.
  • Working on Testing/Auditing/Processes as required from time to time.
  • Identify Skills Gap and plan for training and knowledge updating.
  • Prepare onboarding plan for all new members coming to the team for training and KT
Technical Requirements Unitrends:
Unitrends Backup And Recovery:
  • Configure and troubleshoot backup and recovery jobs.
  • Resolve issues related to backup failures, restore errors, and replication failures.
Cloud And Offsite Backups:
  • Setup and troubleshoot Unitrends Cloud backup and recovery solutions.
  • Manage offsite backup replication and disaster recovery.
Storage Management:
  • Configure and troubleshoot backup repositories (local and cloud-based).
  • Optimize storage performance and handle deduplication issues.
Virtualization:
  • Expertise in VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V backup integration.
  • Troubleshoot virtual machine (VM) backup issues and performance problems.
Networking And Security:
  • Resolve network-related issues affecting backup and replication (VPN, throttling, NAT).
  • Implement security practices like encryption, SSL certificates, and user access control.
System Integration:
  • Integrate Unitrends with third-party storage systems, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery solutions.
SQL and Database Management:
  • Manage and troubleshoot Unitrends SQL database for backup-related issues.
Scripting And Automation:
  • Use PowerShell or CLI for automating backup and restore tasks.
  • Disaster Recovery:
  • Perform bare-metal restores and disaster recovery tests to ensure backup integrity and readiness.
Monitoring And Performance:
  • Monitor Unitrends Backup operations using Unitrends UI and reports for performance and issue detection.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to backup speed, storage capacity, and system resources.
Backup Best Practices:
  • Configure retention policies, backup schedules, and ensure compliance with organizational data protection standards.
System Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues with Unitrends appliances or virtual backup setups.
  • Troubleshoot network performance issues impacting backup jobs.
  • Technical Requirements Unitrends.
Veeam Backup And Replication:
  • Configure and troubleshoot Veeam backup, replication, and restore jobs.
  • Solve issues with backup failures, restore errors, and performance problems.
Cloud And Offsite Backups:
  • Setup and troubleshoot Veeam Cloud Connect for offsite backups and disaster recovery.
Storage Management:
  • Manage and troubleshoot backup repositories (local and cloud).
  • Optimize performance for backup storage.
Virtualization:
  • Expertise in VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V for virtual machine (VM) backups.
Networking And Security:
  • Configure and troubleshoot network issues for Veeam backups (VPN, NAT, throttling).
  • Implement security practices like encryption and SSL certificates.

  • Troubleshoot Veeam database issues and manage SQL server backups.

  • Use PowerShell to automate Veeam tasks.
  • Familiar with Veeam's API for integrations.
Disaster Recovery:
  • Perform bare-metal restores, Instant Recovery, and granular file recovery.
Monitoring And Performance:
  • Use Veeam ONE for monitoring, alerts, and performance tuning.
Backup Best Practices:
  • Configure backup retention, deduplication, and compression for efficiency.
System Troubleshooting:
  • Diagnose hardware and network issues affecting Veeam backups.
Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written).
  • Good documentation skills.
  • Good working knowledge on MS OFFICE (Including MS Project and Visio).
  • Should have a Enterprise customer handling skills.
  • ble to handle unforeseen situations.
  • High level of acceptance.
  • Can drive client's value and its methodology.
Other Skills / Experience:
  • Should be worked on Production systems.
  • Datacenter understanding.
  • Experience in training new team members.
  • Working Knowledge on Remedy or any other ticketing client.

  • Should be familiar with ITIL processes.
  • Experience with Storage Migration, Installation, Upgrades and Patching
  • Other Storage skill set will be an Added advantage.
Years of Experience:
  • Total: 8-12 Years of relevant IT experience.
  • Relevant: Minimum of 8-10 yrs Administration or Support of SAN & NAS for platforms of EMC / Dell EMC ( good to have NetApp / Hitachi / IBM / Pure Storage etc.).
Certification Requirements:
  • Must have "EMC Storage certified Professional" or "NetApp Storage certified Professional" certificate.
  • Must have ITIL foundation certified certification.
