Premier Motorsports company is looking for two (2) Vehicle Performance Engineers onsite in Santa Clarita, CA. These positions are needed for 1 year with a possibility of a year extension.

The qualified candidates should have the following:
*Mechanical Engineering degree. Dynamics specialties valued.
*Hands on experience with racing car operations.
*Hands on experience in physical testing of vehicle hardware systems.
*Min 1 year of work experience in professional Motorsport industry - internships can be counted toward this requirement.
*Proficiency in MATLAB programming and use of MATLAB for data processing and analysis.
*Proficiency in analysis of time series data - including frequency domain analysis.
*Excellent understanding of vehicle dynamics principles across suspension, tire, and aerodynamic domains.
*Proficiency in experiment design methods, and statistical analysis of experiment data.
You will also be required to:
Attendance at all track events (races and tests).
* Attendance at physical rig testing of race vehicles.
* Will be initially based at the client facility in Indianapolis.
* Traveling and overtime required.
Weekly flat rate of $1634.62 - $1826.92 DOE

- Simulation of specific vehicle dynamics behaviors.
- Performance optimization of chassis setup parameters.
- Analysis of logged vehicle dynamics sensor data.
- Planning and execution of tests of vehicles and chassis subsystems on physical test rigs.
- Calibration and correlation of vehicle dynamics simulation models - against real world test data.
- Close liaison with technicians on build preparation and setup configurations of chassis hardware systems.
- Close liaison with electronics systems engineers in the provisioning and configuration of sensor and data logging requirements.
- Contribution to the design, maintenance, and development of simulation and analysis software.
- Close liaison with external suppliers on development of chassis hardware systems.
- Regular publications of reports.
- Use of source control and other software development best practices.
- Presentation of findings in group meetings.
- Collaborative interaction in engineering group forums.
